After watching Hayao Miyazaki's latest film The Boy and the Heron in the cinema, I was inspired to recreate the Heron in it's different forms in acrylics. I sketched out each image before adding colour, I love the range of bright warm tones used on the Heron's feathers, beak and eyes.
