Motion Graphics Poster Design

I was inspired by a creator on Instagram to design my own motion poster using Photoshop. I didn't realize there was a timeline editor function built into Photoshop so it was really interesting to use it for the first time. I downloaded and edited together clips in AE from a new Ghibli movie I'd seen at the cinema and then embedded these videos in the Photoshop timeline. I added text and effects to the clips to achieve the slightly gritty and worn look. I also rotoscoped other elements but this dramatically increased the render time in Photoshop so have left these out of the final render for now. I used a combination of Media Encoder and Photoshop's own Image Sequencer to render out this finished design. I am happy with how eye catching this piece is, although I am still tempted to change the layout slightly. I love how eye-catching the video elements are, I made the clips long enough to give viewers a feeling of the film's feel.
